Sustainability
NONO cares…
NONO wants to encourage girls to look for their own identity, their own strength. Through our clothing they learn to feel strong and free. We feel responsible for them, because they are the future...
We set high standards for the quality of our clothing. Our clothes should last longer than one season. In addition, we strive to use more and more sustainable materials and to make every step in our chain more transparent and better.

GOTS-certified cotton
An increasing number of our cotton T-shirts are produced in Bangladesh using GOTS-certified organic cotton. This means that the cotton is grown without harmful chemicals and that strict requirements apply to people and the environment throughout the entire production chain. As a production house, we are also GOTS certified.
Recycled polyester
We use recycled polyester for various items, such as our jackets, woven skirts, dresses, blouses, and sweaters. This material is made from post-consumer garments and textile waste, helping to reduce waste and conserve resources.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose
In part of our T-shirt collection, we use LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fiber. This fiber is made from wood from sustainably managed forests and has a lower environmental impact than traditional viscose.
During the production process, less water and energy are used, and the origin of the material is completely transparent.
Did you know?
All our polybags are made from recycled plastic; The woven brand labels in the garment are made from recycled polyester; All hangtags are made from recycled paper.
Transparency via QR code
We want to be increasingly transparent about how our clothing is made. That's why we are introducing a QR code on our products in the wash and care label. By scanning it, you'll discover:
Where your garment was produced
Which materials were used
How best to care for and repair the garment
In this way, we give each garment its own story — from production to use.

Our ambition for 2028
We are working step by step towards our ambition for 2028: a collection with an increasing number of conscious materials and more transparency in our supply chain.
We aim to achieve more transparency in our supply chain through product passports. The product passport can be scanned via the QR code on the wash and care label. Our goal is to eventually include upcycling tips in the product passport, so that the garment gets a new life and stays in the chain instead of ending up in landfills.
Further reduction of our environmental impact:
By further deploying and increasing the use of certified fabrics such as GOTS-certified cotton, recycled polyester, and Ecovero;
By continuously reducing inventory purchases; quality takes precedence over quantity.
Wherever possible, ensure that all fabrics are cut efficiently, and where that's not possible, creatively handle leftover materials and implement them in our collections. This way, every product tells a unique sustainable story.
Small steps, big difference
We believe that every step counts. And that together with our customers, partners and the next generation — we can make a positive difference.
